Secondary Placements
The term “secondary placements” describes the (second) placement of shares of a company already being listed (contrary to an Initial Public Offering) which are being sold by a shareholder, not by the company itself.
In contrast to capital increases the proceeds of the secondary placements will therefore accrue to the selling shareholder. Usually, secondary placements involve a large number of shares, regularly amounts of shares will be traded through the stock exchange.
One further result of secondary placements is that secondary placements increase the amount of shares in free float which positively influences the fungibility and liquidity of shares of the respective company.
Privilege Relations LLP will help you in conducting secondary placements by organizing a road show, introducing you to appropriate investors or setting up of individual meetings with private or institutional investors. As a reference of our experience in supporting secondary placements we would like to highlight the successfully completed secondary placement of PT Central Proteinaprima Tbk, the world’s largest fully integrated shrimp producer.
